Elizer had been struggling severely with his self-esteem until he came out as homosexual last year. His foster family has been helping him through this transition as he wants to express himself in a more feminine style of dress. He is slowly learning how to style his own hair now that it's much longer. He would love to be able to straighten it and experiment with styles that make him feel more comfortable in his own skin.
Elizer is 15 years old and lives in NJ
Elizer has been in foster care since he was almost 2 years old. Unfortunately, he had to be removed from his mother's care. Since then, Elizer has been in several foster homes and treatment facilities due to the damage he endured during a beating as a child. Last year, Elizer came out as gay and wishes to begin dressing in a more feminine manner. It has tremendously helped his self-esteem to be supported by his foster family during this transition.
