A Counter Top Dishwasher for Shane who can't wait to meet his child

Posted Sep 22, 2022
Shane is a former foster youth and a college student. He has worked so hard to get to where he is now. He is asking for a counter top dishwasher. His apartment does not come equipped with one and with a baby on the way it would make life a little easier to sterilize bottles and get dishes done all in one go. He would also like to have one because they are economically friendly than using your traditional sink to wash. Countertop dishwashers are extremely economical and efficient, they use substantially less water than manually washing dishes or a traditional full-sized dishwasher. Each wash cycle, which holds 4-6 place settings, uses about 3 gallons of water. This wish means that he doesn't have to stress about dirty bottles or dirty dishes constantly. With school, work, and having a child time is already tight. He rarely gets a chance to do dishes. So to simply put a few dishes and bottles in the dishwasher and leave for a few hours, means coming home to clean and ready to use items. He can't wait to have this convince, and remove a major stressor in his life.

Shane is 27 years old and lives in MN

Shane didn't think he would ever make it to 18, after growing up in group homes and detention centers because no foster family wanted him. He is so proud that he made it out of foster care, and is now an advocate for other former foster youth. He is also a nature photographer, and is hoping to have his photos published in calendars and magazines.
