Maria came to us roughly 6 months ago after being replaced from a previous foster home due to some serious allegations placed on the foster parents. Upon being placed, she was tending with some serious mental health issues, and was struggling in school with little assistance given to assist her with her learning disabilities and with her interpersonal relationships. In a short period time Maria has shown a tremendous amount of growth and she has been putting a huge amount of effort into working on her mental health and through her previous and recent traumas. She also managed to graduate earlier than expected, and will begin her first semester of college in a couple of weeks.
