Layla spent many years in the foster care system and went through extreme trauma at the hands of the system and at the hands of her family. She eventually was adopted in a home with her sister who she is now separated from. She is incredibly smart, witty, and an incredible advocate for herself. She is currently dual enrolled in college and a year ahead academically.
