Laraah loves being active and has a passion for playing basketball and running track, which keeps her busy and helps to maintain a positive outlook on life. Cooking is another one of her favorite hobbies. She lost her mom and has grown closer to the rest of her family since this loss. Her family has had trouble finding sustainable housing and has fought against housing insecurity for the last few years, only to finally find a sustainable housing this past February. Her father has fought health issues, having 5 open heart surgeries over the last 3.5 years. These events have caused a lot of trauma surrounding loss and permanency that Laraah is currently addressing. She enjoys spending time with her sister and her family on some weekends. She likes to spend time in town with her friends, riding bikes or playing basketball.
