Jamme is one of eight children and has experienced foster care, moving between at least ten different foster homes and just as many schools. When she turned 18, she was adopted but was soon asked to leave her adoptive home. Recently, Jamme learned that she has Functional Neurological Disorder (FND), a medical condition that causes frequent seizures and episodes of fainting. Despite these challenges, Jamme is a resilient young woman who is determined to thrive independently in college. Her interests include listening to all genres of music, engaging in arts and crafts, working out, and participating in various outdoor activities.
