Veronica is the fifth of six siblings. The first three and a half years of her life were spent in and out of foster care before her older sister petitioned the Judge for her to join her at their Aunt’s home. The family struggled, but they learned to rise above troubles and look for the positive in all situations. Veronica knew she wanted to be a teacher after many teachers showed her tenderness, caring, and patience. She hopes to positively impact her students similarly once she graduates.
