Bella recently entered foster care for the first time in her life. She had a challenging childhood, growing up quickly to take care of her siblings and, at times, her mother, who is deaf. Being the child of a deaf adult brought unique challenges to Bella’s life and led to conflict between her and her mother. This turmoil ultimately drove Bella to substance use at a young age. However, she has faced her addiction head-on and recently completed a rehabilitation program. Bella now devotes her time to caring for plants and reading fiction novels. She is excelling in school and plans to become a beautician.
