Emari’s childhood was a series of transitions, moving between foster homes and group homes, where she never quite found the sense of belonging she longed for. After aging out of the system, she had to learn how to navigate adulthood independently. She now works as an office assistant, starting her days early and tackling tasks with a sense of responsibility she developed over the years. Emari finds comfort in writing and poetry outside of work, using these creative outlets to process her past and express herself in authentic ways. Writing has become her refuge, a space where she can explore her emotions and find meaning in her experiences.
