Ruthie is an ambitious, resilient young woman who recently moved into her first independent living placement. She's been in foster care since age six and has moved ten times, but despite the challenges she's faced, she makes the most of every opportunity. She currently serves on the leadership board for a local nonprofit that helps foster youth like herself. In her spare time, she likes talking to her baby niece and teaching herself how to play the piano. She loves animals and is excited to get started working so she can pursue a career in animal welfare.
