Kia has faced a long and challenging journey while in foster care and later in extended foster care. She endured multiple placements and has overcome experiences of abuse, abandonment, and neglect before aging out. Now, she has found stability and is dedicated to completing her education to create a better future for herself and to set a positive example for her younger sibling, who is still in foster care. Kia is determined to leave the negativity of her past behind and focus on her future.
