Trini has faced significant challenges from community violence, poverty, and generational trauma since her birth. Throughout middle school and high school, she was placed in various group homes and is currently in extended foster care. This combination of circumstances has led to disruptions in her school engagement and attendance, as well as instability in housing and food. Additionally, she has been affected by the impacts of community violence, loss, and trauma. Despite these obstacles, Trini has shown remarkable resilience. She is now living in supportive transitional housing for young adults and enjoys working with animals. While she loves all animals, dogs hold a special place in her heart, and she has her own beloved dog. Trini also indulges in self-care days, which include face masks, hair care, and doing her nails.
