Help us give Amber a Christmas miracle!

When we heard Amber's story, it broke our hearts. And we're hoping this community can rally around this amazing young mom.
Amber has been in foster care since she was five, moving from different placements and then to a group home that never felt safe. After aging out, she faced homelessness and eventually entered transitional housing with one of our wonderful partner organizations. She is now 22 years old and struggling to keep steady work because she has no transportation and no one to rely on.
Last year, she had a son, Wyatt, who had to have open-heart surgery at five months old. Not one family member showed up. Now Wyatt is one, facing another major surgery, and Amber is doing everything she can to provide for him while battling constant financial stress and the emotional weight of doing this all by herself.
She is one of the only siblings who hasn’t fallen into the trauma patterns she grew up around. She’s trying—truly trying—to give her son a different life.
We’re hoping to raise $5,000 to cover a year of Amber's basic needs: food, clothing, transportation, a cell phone, and anything that keeps her and her baby stable.
If you can help, please do. It would mean everything to this young mom fighting so hard just to stay standing.
