Each year, nearly 500,000 children are impacted by abuse, neglect, and trauma and spend time in our nation’s foster care system. It can be lonely and scary, but through One Simple Wish, you can send love and hope to a child who needs it by granting their personalized wishes—everything from books and toys to fun experiences.
Many of you know our family's story: We became foster parents for the first time in 2015 and saw first-hand the trauma these kids endure. They truly need a village, and by granting a wish, you become a part of that village. Our foster parenthood path was a long and winding one, but after 10 years, we finally adopted our son in July 2025. Every day, though, I think about the hundreds of thousands of kids still waiting for their own permanency. In the meantime, we can collectively make their simpler wishes come true.
