A Mountain Bike for Jose who had to leave everything behind in California

Jose really wants a bike for Christmas, and it is at the top of his wish list. He loves going for a bike ride to calm his mind and relax. With having to relocate to Texas, Jose was only allowed to bring one carry-on bag and one checked bag when he was moved from California, and left his pets, his fun stuff and his treasured bike behind, again. He has had a rough time lately, and having a bike again would make him so happy. To be able to go for a bike ride when he is feeling sad, anxious or stressed would be a gift to him. Jose used to ride bikes where he lived before, so having a new bike will also bring him a sense of home
Jose is 15 years old and lives in TX
Jose's favorite color is red. He loves animals and once had a bird as a pet. Jose is incredibly creative and loves to paint and draw. Jose is also an Unaccompanied Refugee Minor (URM.) He came to the United States when he was 11 and spent some months in a detention facility before being moved to a foster group home in California. He hails from Guatemala and although painfully shy has learned some English. Recently Jose’s legal status changed, and he had to move to Texas. He is very sad to have left everything behind again.
