April has been visiting a lot of cultural events and taking pictures of children and girls she mentors. This has sparked her interest in taking photographs and capturing people and other beautiful things in her community. An artist who loves to paint and sketch, April is excited about pursuing this new area of interest.
April is 24 years old and lives in NJ
April is a peer mentor and one of the peer organizers who help young people select and participate community service projects. While she is often quiet and reserved, she can still be counted on to encourage other young women. A college transfer, she feels more confident at the current college she is in. She has been making great strides in school and taking care of her mental and emotional health and feels more comfortable about her future.
