Steven came into the foster care system and is a few levels behind in reading. During his time in foster care, caregiver has been working with Steven in helping him improve his reading skills. Caregiver has been looking for books that would interest Steven. Steven has shared that he enjoys reading books from the Dog Man collection and expressed that he wishes he could have all the collection of books to read over his Christmas break. Having this collection would motivate Steven to read as well as improve his skills. He will be so excited to find them under the tree!
Steven is 12 years old and lives in CA
Steven is a friendly and polite boy. Although being removed from his father's care has been difficult for Steven, he is hopeful that things will be better and he will be able to reunify with his family soon. Steven makes efforts to keep himself motivated and is putting in great effort to be a good student and earn good grades. Steven's favorite subject is Science, and he shares that he likes to learn about the solar system - his favorite planet is Saturn.
