Valentina wishes for a laptop for Christmas. She says she has some dolls to play with and someone gave her a bike so she and her sister go to the park together. Valentina misses her friends and family back home in Columbia. They keep in touch with her mother's phone but would like her own computer so that she can email and chat anytime she likes. A laptop would also help Valentina with her schoolwork and learning English. This would be a very special Christmas gift for Valentina!
Valentina is 11 years old and lives in NJ
Valentina and her family have just moved to New Jersey from Columbia. Valentina doesn't speak much English but speaks the most out of her family. She and her sister are often home together because they don't know anyone, and their mother doesn't speak any English. Valentina is a happy little girl who says hi to everyone with a huge smile. She started school and has made some friends but only sees them in school. Valentina loves dolls and anything other girls her age likes.
