Shane is a member of One Simple Wish's advisory council and has done so much to lift up the people around him. While the holidays are super exciting for a lot of people, they also can be difficult for individuals impacted by foster care, and especially for those who aged out of foster care. This holiday, we would love to make sure Shane remembers just how great he is by having him choose a special gift for himself!
Shane is 27 years old and lives in MN
Shane didn't think he would ever make it to 18, after growing up in group homes and detention centers because no foster family wanted him. He is so proud that he made it out of foster care, and is now an advocate for other former foster youth. He is also a nature photographer, and is hoping to have his photos published in calendars and magazines.
