Ruben is a hardworking young adult focused on finding a job! Ruben loves to be dressed in head-to-toe pink and can't wait to find a position that reflects her stellar personality! Ruben has gone to countless interviews, and no one has offered her employment. She is becoming a bit depressed about her current situation but loves being able to spend time with her young siblings. Their younger siblings in foster care visit her on the weekends. Ruben loves to cook home cook healthy meals. Ruben is vegan and makes her foods fresh daily. Ruben rarely uses the stove top but would benefit from this Ninja 11-in-1 system to elevate her cooking game! This wish will give her a fantastic outlet to try new things and cook for her siblings. In addition, she could use something to distract her from her job search and remind her how amazing and beautiful she is!

Ruben prefers the pronouns She/her/They. Ruben lives happily in the LGBTQIA community for support. Ruben says she loves having their apartment. However, she struggles to find employment. Ruben is a foster youth in our independent program. Ruben was living in her car before entering our program. Ruben stays motivated by attending college classes online. Ruben chooses to build a relationship with their remaining 2 siblings currently in foster care. Ruben invites them over to play video, games, visit the community swimming pool, watch movies, and to cook meals for them. Currently in the unit, there is only a microwave for Ruben to utilize. Ruben would love to be able to cook for her younger siblings!
