A Text to Speech Reader Pen for Shawn to help him with reading

Posted Apr 3, 2023
Shawn wishes for a text-to-speech reader pen to help him with reading. He has several disabilities due to the trauma he received before entering foster care and has been working hard to find what works for him. This will help him with school work, reading for pleasure at home, or anything he needs to read wherever he goes. This assistive technology device will make life so much easier for Shawn.

Shawn is 18 years old and lives in NC

Shawn is a wonderful young man who, despite struggling with the lasting effects of abuse and neglect, has a bright and caring spirit. With many special needs, he requires a high level of care and attention, but he thrives when he is part of a loving family. Shawn enjoys working on fixing things and finding satisfaction in hands-on activities. He has a fondness for Chick-fil-A and loves listening to music in his downtime. Driven by his passion for helping others, Shawn aspires to become a teacher someday, eager to make a positive impact in the lives of those around him.
