Since February 2023, Kayla has been residing in a youth emergency shelter after being forced to leave her home. Fortunately, we have now identified a kinship option that is willing to take Kayla in. However, the potential foster parent already has two daughters and is concerned about having enough space for Kayla. Despite her eagerness to leave the shelter and find a loving family, Kayla has offered to sleep on the floor, but the other girls and prospective foster parents do not want to impose that on her. In an effort to provide a solution, Kayla was able to secure a triple bunk bed for them to share a room, but she still needs a mattress for herself.
