Luz has to walk back and forth to summer school. While she enjoys going for walks and being outdoors, she needs a new pair of shoes. She had to throw out her sneakers recently because of how worn they were, and the sandals she has been wearing are also falling apart. Luz will be so excited to have a fresh new pair of Converse to wear to school!
Luz is 17 years old and lives in CA
Luz arrived in the United States from Guatemala in 2021 after local gangs killed her niece. She has an older brother who she rarely speaks to. Luz's goals include finishing high school, learning English, and going to college to get her nursing degree. Luz enjoys going on walks in the neighborhood and spending time in nature.
