Thanks to an amazingly generous supporter, this wish is just $25 for a limited time! Find out more at the link in the orange bar at the top of the site.*** Ashley is excited to spruce up her dining room by utilizing an empty corner. She has her heart set on a lovely shelf where she can proudly display framed photographs of her beloved family. Seeing these pictures every day will serve as a wonderful reminder of the amazing job Ashley is doing raising her own family, despite having experienced foster care.
Ashley is 35 years old and lives in CO
Ashley was born to parents who both had mental health disorders and developmental delays. When she was 14 her father was diagnosed with a terminal brain disease and passed away only eight months later. Her mother was unable to care for her and her sister and they ended up in foster care. Living in a group home she graduated from high school and went on to college where she graduated with her degree in Psychology. She has done a lot with her life, including joining the military, getting married, and having beautiful children of her own. She is currently working in hospice to help others through their grief. She received her Master's in Social work in May 2022. and hopes to advocate for children in foster care, as her team advocated for her.
