Keyan lost his father while he was still in the system trying to find his way back home. Keyan's one of the last kids in the system and he's almost an adult now, but he doesn't have any adoption or guardianship plans yet. Despite facing many challenges and disruptions in his placements, Keyan's been working hard to become more independent and has been looking into non-minor dependent law as a way to stay in foster care. He's had a hard time making friends, but he found a hobby in gaming that's really been helping him cope with high-risk behaviors and stay motivated to finish high school. Keyan's a really optimistic guy and he always hopes he can make his dad proud, who he believes is looking down on him from heaven.

He thinks it will be a positive addition to his life and help him stay out of trouble in the city. Keyan enjoys playing video games and never had the opportunity to do so while growing up without a television or game system. He found that playing on various placements helped him manage his behavior and even resulted in him being removed from probation.
