A special lunch at Applebee's for Kris and his former worker

Posted Oct 17, 2023
Kris has had a lot of people come and go in his life and that has taken a toll on him. It means so much to him when people stay in his life. He has one former worker that keeps the connection going by seeing him as often as she can. They have a visit planned soon and he would like to surprise her with a trip to Applebee's!

Kris is 14 years old and lives in ME

Kris is an adventurous and intelligent young boy. He loves to be outside swimming in the summer and building snowmen in the winter. He has been living in foster care for a few years and has had a difficult time being separated from his mother and siblings. He uses his imagination to deal with some of the grief and loss he feels. Games like Minecraft help him socialize with other kiddos and use his imagination to solve puzzles and create new worlds. He also loves to learn. If given the chance and proper support at school, he shines. He also has a very giving heart. While he can have trouble controlling his anger at times, he is quick to acknowledge what he did wrong and try to make amends. Kris is a young boy who needs patience, understanding, and above anything else- to know that he matters in this world and is loved!
