A mattress for Vertis who had to move after witnessing abuse

Vertis's mom was finally able to leave a very abusive situation, and she is able to keep her kids with her as long as she can secure housing and safety for them. She had been in foster care herself, and her goal is to keep her kids with her and not have them experience going into care if she can prevent it. In their new home, there are no beds and Vertis really needs a mattress so that she can be more comfortable rather than sleeping on the floor. This will help make it feel much safer and start to feel like home.
Vertis is 5 years old and lives in OH
Vertis is such a quiet young girl who tries her best to do the right thing. She has witnessed a lot of scary things, and she is grateful for the love of her siblings to help her through the hard times. She loves to play with friends and explore new things. She has a sweet smile that she shares when she sees peers doing silly things and little by little she is opening up to engage with others.
