Emma was removed from her biological home when she was 16 years old because of her mother’s failing health and abandonment by her father. She remained in resource care until the age of 19 when she was able to secure her own apartment through an adolescent housing voucher. Emma maintains the apartment to date and has established a safe, secure, and comfortable residence of her own. Emma has earned her high school diploma and is currently employed full-time as a server and bartender at a local restaurant. She is personable, caring, resilient, and has the skills to be self-sufficient and highly successful.
