Maliya is a big gamer. She loves to play on her playstation and on her computer. Maliya originally is from the Lincoln area but currently lives in Omaha. She stays connected to friends from her previous school through her gaming sights. Maliya's four younger siblings moved home with their mother recently. Maliya wanted to remain in the foster home to stay at her school. She recently went into a guardianship and is doing well in the home. With her siblings gone Maliya has more room and moved into a larger room by herself. She would like this gaming desk for her room!

Maliya is an incredible young woman who has faced an extraordinary amount of loss and trauma in her life, much more than any child should have to endure. She is currently in foster care. Despite her struggles in forming connections and her tendency to keep to herself, Maliya is a remarkably bright and affectionate young lady. Once she opens up, she is incredibly funny, quick-witted, and an all-around joy to be around!
