Ezra shares one bedroom in his grandfather's home with his mother, sister and infant stepbrother. Since he and his mother left a domestic abuse situation, Ezra has been sleeping on a chaise lounge piece of furniture he has outgrown and is not intended for sleeping (it isn't perfectly flat and isn't the right size for a fitted sheet). It's caused him to have trouble sleeping and daytime fatigue at school. Ezra needs a proper bed so he can get a good night's sleep and not be sleepy at school.
