One of Maria's absolute favorite activities is doing puzzles! She loves doing them on her own or with her foster mom. Her foster mom even has one of her completed puzzles hung up in the house! Maria would love a puzzle mat so she can put away her puzzles while she is working on them without worrying about losing pieces.

Maria is a funny, intelligent, independent young woman originally from Guatemala. When she first arrived in the United States over three years ago, she did not speak any English. Now she can communicate well with others, is doing great in school, and has begun a new job at a restaurant! Maria dreams of being a nurse one day. She loves hanging out with friends, watching movies, and making cookies!
