Genevieve and her sister were removed from the care of their mother and placed in foster care. Genevieve, who is struggling to navigate the instability of the system, is upset with her mother but also wishes to be reunited with her mother. Sadly, Genevieve is struggling with school and is working hard to navigate the ups and downs that she feels daily. She is struggling educationally and emotionally and does not thrive in traditional therapy, art is the way she prefers to process her emotions.

Genevieve is requesting this sketchpad because she is passionate about the arts. She has not responded well to traditional talk therapy and expresses herself through her creativity. Genevieve's favorite art form is painting; this paper would be great for her to sketch out and paint whatever she chooses. Her care team is currently working on getting Genevieve enrolled in some form of art therapy; having access to proper paper to paint on at home could help bridge that gap for the time being. While Genevieve has struggled with instability in the dependency system, one thing that has remained a constant is her passion for creativity and design. This sketchpad will truly help her express herself and her emotions.
