Emma is a wonderful and sweet girl who, despite a mental handicap, does her very best to learn and work towards independence. She is determined to learn the necessary skills she will need to become more independent and eventually able to be on her own. She's an affectionate young lady who loves everyone, especially those who will give her big hugs! Emma has a creative mind and loves making those rubber band bracelets, she finds blue avatar to be the greatest thing ever and is obsessed with Squishmallows. Emma has faced a lot of challenges, physically, mentally, and emotionally. Emma was adopted as a young child and unfortunately later she was put back into the system. She has had to learn to trust the world again as she prepares to live in it as an adult. She worries a lot, but her caretakers try their best to make her feel loved, to teach her that there is good in the world, and to be a guiding presence in her young life.

"Emma was extremely excited to receive her laptop. Her excitement was obvious as she was beaming when we handed it to her. Emma said thank you so many times and her smile was just never-ending! The foster parents would like the person who granted this wish to know that Emma is a bright beautiful girl that just needed the opportunity to grow and learn. This is a positive step for her and means the world to them. "
