Richard has been working very hard, attending ESL classes and going out regularly to find a job, any job. He is very committed to his goals and never complains about the difficulties of finding work. However, Richard has shared that he does sometimes feel overwhelmed by the pressure. He feels helpless in not being able to find a job and worries that he may never learn English well enough. After some discussion, Richard shared that he copes with these feelings by drawing and working out. Mostly, Richard loves sketching images that he sees online or even images that he thinks of himself. He is very talented! Right now, he uses a regular lined notebook and #2 pencils, but he would love to be able to buy a sketchbook and 4B and 6B pencils, which, as he explained, are better for shading. Richard would be so grateful to have his own sketchbook to improve his talents and keep his mind off of the negative feelings that come up as he works on his goals.
