Wedding support for Sarah who is ready to marry her best friend
Posted May 13, 2024
Shane, Sarah's fiancé of 6 years, asked her to marry him shortly after they got together. He has been her best friend since they were 13 years old. Since the time he asked in 2018, they have had a few hard balls thrown their way and the wedding hasn’t been able to come to bloom yet. They had their daughter at the end of 2018 and planned on a date in 2020. 2020 came, and so did the pandemic. Although they could have, they didn’t want to get married without the presence of their family and friends. On June 25, 2020, Sarah's mom, her best friend passed away. When that happened, she had no motivation or desire to plan such a monumental event that her mom wasn’t going to be a part of. In 2021, Sarah got pregnant with their last baby, and had him at the beginning of 2022- which was one of Sarah's biggest milestones, she wasn’t sure how she was gonna do it without her mom. Once she realized she was okay, and that she could do it, even if her mom wasn’t here, they started talking about wedding plans again. On Christmas in 2022, Shane’s mom got engaged, and it didn’t take long for them to decide on a date of June 25, 2023. So planning for Sarah and Shane's wedding was put on pause, and they started focusing on Shane's mother. At the end of 2023, Sarah and Shane decided that this was it. If they wanted to do it, they couldn’t let anything else prolong it. So when they got their taxes, they made deposits and got everything going. In April, Shane got NuroVirus and was out of work for about a week and a half. and Sarah has been taking an extra day off of work each week to focus on her GED. Both of those things combined, along with normal house bills, have made funds incredibly tight. With the wedding being 2 weeks away, on May 19, 2024, it is too late to change or cancel anything due to the deposits without incurring large fees. Sarah is asking for help with the remaining balance due to the photographer and the venue. Any help they can receive is appreciated beyond measure!
