Summer wishes for a stylish pair of Birkenstock to wear all summer long. She would love to have a pair of shoes similar to her friends. This would help her feel like she belongs and is part of a group despite her disabilities. This will be an easy-on, easy-off pair of shoes she can navigate herself.
Summer is 18 years old and lives in NC
Summer loves to smile and be around her sisters. She is medically fragile and has lots of special needs, and it takes a very special family to care for her. Unfortunately, she has had many surgeries and medical needs due to the trauma and abuse she previously suffered. Summer has come so far since entering foster care, but still requires a constant high level of care and support.
