Carl has a birthday coming up, and he is super excited. Carl has been down lately because he misses his siblings. He will be shocked to find out that his siblings have been invited to his surprise birthday party. Carl loves sneakers and has become somewhat of a sneakerhead. He could really use a new pair of shoes for the summer because he was selected to attend a special needs summer camp. Purchase of the shoes would not only boost Carl's confidence but it would also be a wonderful birthday gift.
Carl is 17 years old and lives in VA
Carl is a very happy-go-lucky young man who loves comic books, music, fishing, and drawing. He has some special needs and was recently removed from his home. Carl was not placed with his younger siblings because he needs more assistance with his daily living functions. He has not allowed his placement in foster care to stop his desire to work hard in school so that he can graduate on time. Carl does not allow his disability to stop his enjoyment of life. He loves visiting with his siblings every weekend and always has pictures for them to take back of his drawings.
