Kris is a 17-year-old who enjoys sensory activities that make him feel "hugged" overall. He loves spending time on a bean bag chair in his room for relaxation. Last year, he received a bean bag chair as a holiday gift and he was so happy and enjoyed it very much. Unfortunately, it wore out and he can no longer use it. Kris is non-verbal, but having the bean bag chair in his room brings him comfort and a sense of security.
Kris is 18 years old and lives in OH
Kris was removed from his biological parents at the age of five and again at eleven years old. He is in the permanent custody of the state. He has severe ASD, and ambulatory, with 50 percent hearing loss in both ears. The loss of hearing and ASD diagnosis has been a barrier to his placement options due to his lack of communication skills. Kris is a delightfully sweet and humorous young man. He is currently non verbal but communicates in other ways such as sign language and physical movements. Kris has the kindest bright blue eyes and is interactive when he warms up to people. Once he is comfortable, he will engage in harmless ornery behavior causing him to laugh. He has such a pure heart and is a delight to everyone he meets!
