Kay has been through a lot and faces various challenges with her mental health. To help her manage, she turns to music, singing, and other creative outlets. A few years ago, her guitar went missing during multiple moves between group homes. Now, living independently in a stable environment, she can focus on her mental health and her passion for music. Getting a new guitar has been a long-standing wish for Kay.
Kay is 19 years old and lives in CA
Kay was brought into care because of the neglect she was experiencing while living with her ailing grandmother. Kay has been through a multitude of living situations and suffers from eating disorders and other mental illnesses. Music has been Kay's sanctuary. When Kay was in high school, her safe haven was her choir class. She loves to sing, play guitar, and perform. Music has always been Kay's way of self-soothing and therapy.
