Christian's dream in life is to work to change the system dedicated to the most vulnerable children in the nation. Christian spent four years in the foster care system, being reunited with his family at six years old. Upon graduating high school, Christian enlisted in the army as an infantryman, later moving his way through and up the ranks, eventually serving as an infantry reconnaissance and sniper team leader. After leaving the military in 2018, he began to pursue degrees in Sociology and Anthropology at Piedmont University. He graduated Cum Laude in December of 2021. Christian is currently an intern at Unbelievably Resilient, a nonprofit dedicated to shattering the stigmas and stereotypes associated with those who have been in the system. Christian’s passion in policy is holding private insurers assuming medical care of children in the system accountable for their charge of care.
