A bike for Aliyah to commute to and from work

Posted Aug 14, 2024
Aliyah, a compassionate and hardworking individual, has set her sights on attending community college in the upcoming fall semester. In addition to pursuing her education, she is also committed to supporting her ill adoptive mother by working part-time. Despite her determination, Aliyah has expressed valid concerns about transportation to and from work and school. She has articulated that having a bicycle would significantly ease her commute, as she currently relies on Uber rides and the kindness of friends to get home after finishing her late shift at Taco Bell at 2 am.

Aliyah is 18 years old and lives in OH

Aliyah is a very intelligent young woman who will be aging out of foster care in the next few months. Despite facing numerous obstacles, she graduated second in her class with nearly a 4.0 GPA. Known for her determination and eagerness, Aliyah aspires to study social work in college to help other youth in the foster care system. Since turning 18, Aliyah has moved out of her group home and back into her adoptive mother's home to care for her, as her adoptive mother is battling cancer after suffering from several strokes. Aliyah is working part-time night shifts while also caring for her adoptive mother when she is not working, leaving her with little to no free time to enjoy her youth. She is indeed a hardworking and responsible individual.
