Aliyah is planning to attend community college in the fall while working part-time to care for her ill adoptive mother. She has concerns about transportation to work and school and has recently requested a bike, as well as a bike lock.
Aliyah is 18 years old and lives in OH
Aliyah is a very intelligent young woman who will be aging out of foster care in the next few months. Despite facing numerous obstacles, she graduated second in her class with nearly a 4.0 GPA. Known for her determination and eagerness, Aliyah aspires to study social work in college to help other youth in the foster care system. Since turning 18, Aliyah has moved out of her group home and back into her adoptive mother's home to care for her, as her adoptive mother is battling cancer after suffering from several strokes. Aliyah is working part-time night shifts while also caring for her adoptive mother when she is not working, leaving her with little to no free time to enjoy her youth. She is indeed a hardworking and responsible individual.
