Nadia graduated in May 2024 from the University of Washington, earning a Master of Arts in Policy Studies. She completed her Bachelor’s degree at the same institution, majoring in Law, Economics, and Public Policy. Throughout her professional and educational journey, Nadia has passionately worked in direct-service roles for foster youth through various nonprofit organizations. Through these positions, she has remained committed to bringing her lived experience into programmatic considerations and creating youth-focused spaces to serve those impacted by foster care. In 2019, she was a Shadow Day Delegate with the National Foster Youth Institute’s Congressional Shadow Day program. During this time, she engaged with the Office of former Representative Marcia Fudge of Ohio and connected with her staff. She returned in 2021 as a Development Intern with the organization, supporting the development team and learning more about grants, eventually becoming a Regional Coordinator for the Shadow Day program. At the University of Washington, she has focused her graduate research on geographical inequities in foster care and establishing a national standard of care.
