Jay is a mature and intelligent young man with a strong work ethic and a desire to succeed. He spent much of his childhood caring for his mother before entering foster care, and he is now living with a supportive foster family. Maintaining a steady job, Jay is actively working towards his GED while also studying for his learner's permit to drive. Despite his respectful and easygoing nature, his foster parents have observed that Jay often feels the need to seek permission to rest and enjoy himself, which can hinder his ability to savor his childhood. Recently, he took a positive step by joining a boxing club and an ultimate frisbee league, where he's not only making friends but also learning to balance his responsibilities with fun and leisure activities. Through these experiences, Jay is beginning to find a healthier equilibrium between work and enjoyment.
