Will was in a car accident about a year ago. He was advised to use a cane as he had suffered an injury to his knee and below it. He absolutely refused to use the cane provided to him by the hospital. A year later he is still struggling with some of the pain and now struggles to get up and downstairs occasionally. When asked what would encourage him to use a cane to help himself he said a cane that he thought was cool and could be taken as a fashion statement rather than draw attention to his needing a cane. He selected an elegant cane to help motivate himself to use it.
