Marla has feelings of anxiety about school but has the resilience and motivation to move past it and give her best effort academically. She lives with her mother, two younger siblings, and her grandparents. Marla is a great big sister; she helps her mother often by looking after her younger siblings when she needs extra help. Marla enjoys coloring pages, nature, listening to music, and spending time with her best friend. Marla is also very funny and likes making people laugh. She shares that she wants to work with people when she grows up, preferably in the cosmetology field. She wants to learn how to style her hair and nails.

Marla is in need of additional support in getting school supplies and school uniforms for the upcoming school year. The family receives limited income at this time. and is unable to pay for new clothing. Marla wants to fit in with her peers in the coming school year.
