Derron absolutely loves running and staying active - it brings him so much peace. With the Paris Olympics coming to a close, he's feeling super motivated to take his running skills to the next level. Right now, he's on the lookout for some new shoes for his second cross-country season. Derron has come a long way in his treatment, achieved so many goals, and now he's aiming to earn a varsity letter for cross country after nabbing one in his freshman track season. Running has been Derron's healthy way of dealing with his past, and it's given him something he's truly passionate about. With new shoes, Derron will be the best athlete out there.
Derron is 16 years old and lives in OH
Derron is such an amazing person! He's always so sweet, respectful, and driven. It's truly inspiring to see how he's overcome so many challenges in his life and keeps proving everyone wrong. Running and staying active is his thing and it brings him so much peace. He's also an awesome team player and takes a lot of pride in that. Derron is in a kinship placement with his teacher who will be adopting him.
