Sophia is 7 years old and lives in NY
Sofia and her three siblings were placed in foster care and taken in by their maternal uncle and his wife, who already had four children of their own. The caregivers planned to make the arrangement permanent and officially adopted Sofia and her siblings in 2022. The family now consists of a total of 8 children and receives regular support services. Despite their experience in foster care, Sofia and her siblings show resilience and do their best in school with additional support. Sofia loves spending time with her family.
