Abel joined the band at his new school to get involved and make new friends. He has always been passionate about music and is excited to learn how to play the trumpet. Abel is interested in getting additional private lessons to supplement what he'll learn at school, so that he can acquire all the necessary skills to become an outstanding trumpet player. Music also helps him stay active and cope with his trauma, so the gift of four private lessons will provide him with personalized attention as he uses music as one of his coping mechanisms.
Abel is 11 years old and lives in OH
Abel has spent more than half of his life in foster care and has had to change placements almost every year that he's been in care. Abel has spent a lot of time separated from all of his siblings, but despite that, he has always maintained a positive attitude and outlook on life. Abel loves Legos, video games, and playing outside. He is an inspiring comedian and loves to make people laugh! Abel's role model is his biggest brother, and he loves it when they are able to spend time together.
