A shopping spree for Sammy's 18th birthday

Sammy is turning 18 very soon and a senior in high school. He is very active in JROTC and enrolled in a program that carries him from high school into college in the state he lives in. He is looking forward to doing four years in college and going into the military as an officer. This young man has overcome many challenges and obstacles to be successful in his placement and his future goals. Turning 18 in foster care can have its difficulties but this young man has not let his untraditional lifestyle deter him from dreaming big and making great goals. Sammy has asked for a gift card to Amazon for his birthday so he can get what he wants for school and fun! He also lives in another state so this would be the easiest way to get his wish to him. This young man is aging out with his placement father and entering into the Foster Care 18-21 program to assist him as he finishes high school and enters college. Turning 18 in foster care is a big milestone that can get lost in the pressures of an untraditional lifestyle.

Sammy is the most polite, optimistic and respectful teenage boy. He has been in foster care for two years and was recently reunited with a past step-father out of the state. He is adjusting well to a new city, new school, new home and environment. Sammy is a rising senior, very active in JROTC and enrolled in a program that carries him from high school into college in the state he lives in. He is looking forward to doing four years in college and going into the military as an officer.
